The Metre marches on.

I, however, am still processing ideas in response to metre-exchange as far back as project weeks 1 and 2. This current week, number 4, has been consumed within this backwards gaze.

I had assumed that within the project, the metre and I would be coupled through experiences in real time.

My metre relationship at the moment is different. Aside from the already established, ongoing series of photographic images (including The Metre on particular dates, along with its Up partner image and the Slug Eatings), I am responding to a metre which existed in the past - the project could of course evolve to become exactly this.

The spontaneous element is central to the process I undertake as an artist – so it remains to be seen what Another Metre is to become.
